The DBG-WELD™ tester is designed to isolate a live pipeline section and pressure-test new welds without a full system shutdown.
It uses a dual-seal and bleed-port configuration that forms a secure pressure barrier between seals, allowing safe operation while upstream pressure remains active.
This system combines control and safety: the isolation zone can be filled, vented, and pressurized through dedicated ports for precise monitoring during hot-work or post-weld hydrotesting.
The dual-serrated gripper system is the heart of the design. The grip mechanism self-aligning gripper expands using tightening bolts that apply outward pressure against the inside wall of the pipe.
Its mechanical design uses internal expansion and self-energizing sealing to lock the plug tighter as pressure increases.
